The humantay lagoon is located at the base of the Humantay glacial mountain (5473 m). The glacier melts forming a beautiful lagoon under it. DAY 1: FULL DAY | CUSCO - SORAYPAMPA - LAKE HUMANTAY - CUSCOThe first day we will pick you up at your hotel between 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., we will begin our adventure with a 4 hour trip in private transport towards Mollepata (3300 m.) Located in the lush valley of the Apurímac River, where we will have a well-deserved breakfast to start the day well, continuing by bus to the starting point Soraypampa (3850 masl). In Soraypampa we will start our hike to Lake Humantay (4200 masl) with beautiful views as you can see a lush Andean green valley and if the sky is clear enough, we can see the impressive Salkantay (6271m.) And the Humantay glacier (5473 m.). It is a walk of about 1 hour. to the lake with moderate difficulty, and more than worth it when you see the magical view of the lagoon, where we will have enough time to take pictures, possibly make an offering to the tutelary Apus if necessary and for the brave adventurers the option to swim in the lake when it's sunny. After a brief explanation, we will begin the descent to Soraypampa with an approximate walking time of forty-five minutes down the mountain.
